Thank You LA! Texas Talent Next!
This weekend’s LA auditions were a huge success. After enduring a week of rain the weather in SoCal was beautiful and the turnout was a record breaker. Thank you to everyone who enthusiastically came out and patiently waited to show off their talent. If you could not make it this weekend join us in another city or submit a video of your act.
We’ve packed up the America's Got Talent truck and it is headed southeast to Dallas for this weekend’s auditions. The last time we were in Dallas we found ventriloquist and season two winner, Terry Fator. We cannot wait to see the talent of Texas.
America's Got More Than Talent
Whatsup America's Go Talent,
Im proud to say, that the Dallas audition was surely something I will never forget.
I never once felt so determined than I felt when I was there. It was the most exciting experience to come in all of my 15 years. I felt extremely blessed just to walk in the front doors!
It was truly amazing. It was neat to find people with the same goals and interest as I. I honestly feel like I gave my all and Im ready to bring it even farther! Getting a callback would be the best thing to ever happen to me in my life. This opportunity means everything to me. Even if don't make it, the experience of bing there was a blessing. It would only encourage me to take my "best" to the max!
If you reading this and are considering trying out, all I can say is "GO FOR IT!" because we are America and we have MORE than just Talent!
Thank you so very much!

LA auditions
It was great!, The only thing is it was funner last year. Maybe because I was there on Sunday?
It was like a carnival last year!
They did allow me to complete my entire song which I thought was really nice of em considering I auditioned at 8:30, and I'm sure they were pretty burnt out by then:)
The audition is over for me
Well, after waitig in line and out for about 11 hours (8am to 7pm) I got the chance to perform for the group of three judges. I met some great talents, but as people do, I gravitated toward others with a similar interest. In my case, I sing country music, so Sonny, Kern, and I Randy Harrison) sat togetther for most of the day with those who came with us (im my case, my wife and son.) Kern is from ElCampo and came with his brother. He and I auditioned in the same room, he first, then I. Sonny (who brought his wife)was going to perform with tracks instead of a guitar, so he was split off to that group. Kern was in and out very quickly, or so it seemed. Judging from what I saw, I can only hope that they only needed to see a small amount to be able to tell that he definitely has talent. I went in, and sang an OLD country song (Lonesome 7-7203) then asked if I could sing a funny little song I had (re)written for the contest. Then they asked if I could sing something that people who didn't listen to country would know. I sang "The Fugitive." figuring it was a crossover hit back in the day. Oh well. We'll see...
Seems it never rains in Southern California...
...man it pours! The rain took Saturday off and my fiancee and I had a great day of it. Sure it was exhausting (three hour drive then waiting in lines and rooms for nine more hours), but we met some great people and who knows maybe we'll see one of them again. Maybe they'll all see ME again (on the flat screen in their living rooms), well here's hoping anyway.
Everyone was great and the time flew by. Lots of talent in LA (especially the youngsters, very intimidating for an old fella' like me). Break a leg everybody!!!
I am amazed!
This is the 1st time for me to audition of this scale. The line, the waiting... It was a long day for us, longer for the staff...
